In brief: Green Hills offers royalty-free RTOS support, Borland's new C++ products and more

* Green Hills offers royalty-free RTOS support.
Green Hills Software Inc. has released the Integrity real-time operating system with support for Intel IXP2400 and IXP2800 network processors and their development platforms. Integrated with the company's proprietary IDE and C/C++ compilers, Integrity is said to be optimized for Intel XScale technology, and provides complete access to kernel and board support source code.

* Borland releases two new C++ products.
Borland's new C++BuilderX is a C++ IDE, while Enterprise Studio for C++ is a technology independent life-cycle management suite the company says addresses increasingly complex C++ application development. In a release, a company vice president said Borland wants to modernize the C++ development space by offering standards-based life-cycle management, and multi-platform and multi-compiler support.

* Wasabi offers new GNU tools.
Wasabi Systems has released a GNU toolset that has been optimized for Intel XScale microprocessors. Developed in conjunction with Intel, the tools are intended for embedded development in Linux, Wasabi Certified NetBSD and other systems. Wasabi also says it will validate the toolchain by running benchmark tests on Windows/Cygwin and Linux hosts.

* Compuware unveils DevPartner Studio 7.1.
Compuware Corp. has announced the general release of DevPartner Studio 7.1 Professional Edition, a developer suite for building applications and components for .NET and Windows. The new release features memory analysis for applications built for the .NET framework, which allows developers to view and track memory use and then optimize code to improve speed and performance.
