on-demand data warehousing environment.
1. After a few years of slow economic growth, data warehouse projects
are backlogged. (Forrester Research)
2. Percentage of growth in spending on data warehousing is in the
double-digit range. (Forrester Research)
3. The volume of data supplied by systems such as used at point of
sale continues to grow exponentially. (Forrester Research)
4. Organizations have less and less tolerance for latency and are turning
to multiple daily updates or near real-time updates, increasing from
2 percent to 24 percent among those surveyed. (Forrester Research)
5. Many enterprises are planning to consolidate data marts to simplify

6. A survey shows a 1-year increase of more than 60 percent in
the number of authorized data warehouse users reported by
